In early May 1983, Tom and Marg April bought a pretty piece of pristine farm land nestled between the historic and picturesque rural communities of Hermann and New Haven, Missouri. They believed in the warm and friendly people they found in these little river towns which truly exude old world charm and traditions.
For the next twenty years your hosts groomed every native Oak, Hickory, and Ash tree. They also added many colorful gardens and vistas with ornamental trees and blooming bushes of all sorts. The Guest Beach House was built in 2003 and the matching adjacent Florida style Beach House Condo and Margville Party House were built in 2009.
April Farms Lake completes this beautiful yet rustic setting. As you overlook the lake your are in trophy bass territory. In fact a 10 lb., 4 oz. Largemouth was harvested just two years ago. Your stay includes all the free fishing you want using your own fishing gear and any bait you care to bring along. Strolling around the grounds including the old logging trail through the woods is encouraged to make your visit even more invigorating. Wildlife abounds as Boone & Crockett bucks and trophy wild turkeys are common to the area.
